Description:
Anti-Halo Tag, AlpHcAbs® Mouse IgG1 antibody is designed for detecting Halo tag fusion proteins. Anti-Halo Tag, AlpHcAbs® Mouse IgG1 antibody is monovalent, recombinant single domain antibody fused to mouse IgG1 Fc. Based on immunoelectrophoresis and/or ELISA, Anti-Halo Tag, AlpHcAbs® Mouse IgG1 antibody detects the Halo tag selectively, no reactivity with other proteins.

Background:
The protein tag(Halo tag) is a modified haloalkane dehalogenase designed to covalently bind to synthetic ligands (Halo tag ligands). The synthetic ligands comprise a chloroalkane linker attached to a variety of useful molecules, such as fluorescent dyes, affinity handles, or solid surfaces. Due to the single-chain nature of sdAbs and their increased sensitivity and higher affinity to Halo tag fusion proteins, Anti-Halo Tag, AlpHcAbs® Mouse IgG1 antibody can be used to detect the Halo tag selectively, with high sensitivity and negligible non-specific background.
Using antibody with Fc(mutation), the background from Fc receptors will be eliminated.

Dilution factors are presented in the form of a range because the optimal dilution is a function of many factors, such as antigen density, permeability, etc. The actual dilution used must be determined empirically.
